What is an e-book? E-books are electronic or digital books that are created to be read on your computer. E-books provide a convenient way for you to get the information and books that you want now (well almost, downloading and registration take a few minutes).
How do I save money by purchasing downloadable e-books?
  • There are no shipping charges, save $4.75 per book
  • Almost instant delivery. Compare a few minutes wait during download to ordering a regular book and having to wait two or three days for delivery to your mailbox.
  • Save time! Live hyperlinks to online resources on e-book pages, give you instant access to information that you need now. This also makes reading our e-books a dynamic experience that is unique for each person. (Of course, you will need an internet browser such as Internet Explorer, Firefox or Netscape and an internet connection to access the external links.)

How do I read e-books? Once the e-book file has been loaded onto your computer and registered, simply double click on the e-book's icon, and start reading. It's that easy!

Can e-books be read on PCs as well as Macs? At present, our e-books can be read on any Windows-based (Windows 95, 98, 98SE, 2000, NT, Me, XP or Vista) computer. We hope to have support for Macs at some point in the near future.
Do I need the Internet Explorer browser to read e-books? No. There is no need for any browser at all to read the e-book itself, but if you would like to have access to external resources, linked to from within the e-book, you will need a browser and a live internet connection.
Do I need any special software to read e-books? No. Our e-books are completely self-contained. Just double-click the e-book file and start reading.

How do I purchase an e-book? Click on the "Add to Cart" button and complete the check-out process. Then, if you haven't already, download the e-book by clicking on the e-book's cover picture.

How do I get e-books into my computer? The two main methods are by download and on CD. It is also possible to receive e-book files by e-mail.
  • How to download e-books:
    1. Click on the e-book's cover picture
    2. Click "ok" to save the file to disk (select a folder to keep your e-books)
    3. Once downloading has completed, double-click on the e-book's icon (the e-book file will have the same name as given on the site page, with an .exe extension) to open it.
  • How to purchase the CD: Click on the "Add to Cart" button under the "On CD" price and complete the check-out process. The CD will be shipped by USPS Priority Mail. When the CD arrives, you can copy then paste the e-book file onto your desktop, or into a folder in your computer, then double-click the e-book icon to open it.
  • By e-mail: If, for some reason, you would prefer to receive the e-book file by e-mail, it will arrive as an attachment. Copy and paste the e-book file onto your desktop or another folder in your computer, then double-click its icon to open it.
What if I have a problem downloading the e-book file? Try again, then contact us. Some e-book files can be sent to you by e-mail. Note: Gmail e-mail accounts can not be used to receive our e-books.

Is downloading the only way that I can receive the e-books? No. You can also receive them on CD, and in a pinch, by e-mail (depending on size).

Can't a virus get into my computer by opening an .exe file? Yes. Many viruses and malicious programs are propagated by ..exe (executable) files, but we take great care to thoroughly scan all e-book files using Norton AntiVirus 2007, before we upload them to our servers, place them on CD, or send them out by e-mail. Generally, before opening any .exe files, ask three things: 1 Do you recognize the sender's domain name? 2 Are you expecting any files from that sender? 3 Is your own anti-virus software up to date?
What do I do after I have finished downloading the e-book file? The downloaded file will have the same name as on the site page with an ".exe" extension. Double-click the file and the e-book will open. If you have not already paid for the e-book, the number of pages that can be read will be very limited. (See registration below)
Will I be able to read the e-book right after it has been downloaded? Only after the e-book has been paid for and registered, will all of the pages be available. If the e-book is free, it can be read immediately after download.

How do I register my e-books? After you have the e-book file in your computer, double-click on its icon to open it. Once open, press the "H" key on your keyboard, and your unique computer ID will be displayed. E-mail that number along with your full name to: e-book_reg@stuffedsheets.com. We will then send your unique registration file ("reg file") to enable the entire e-book. Note: The e-book will only be readable on the computer that you used to register it.

What titles of e-books do you offer? Click here, to see our continuously expanding e-book catalog.
What are E-Sheets? E-Sheets are the downloadable form of our laminated guides.
Do E-Sheets cover the same information as the laminated guides? Yes, E-Sheets cover all of the same information as our laminated guides as well as some additional updated material.

How do I purchase and register E-Sheets? Our E-Sheets use the same software as our e-books, so just follow the directions for e-books above - everything is exactly the same.
